Liam's ear tubes are working! YAY!!!!

Liam ear tubes seem to be working great! We have almost had a full week of ALL NIGHT SLEEPING! WHAT AN AMAZING THING! He did great at the surgery and the nurses called him the Walmart greeter because he walked all around waving to people in this Safari Wagon. soooo funny! He didn't cry when they took him back because he was so interested in all their gadgets. They called us back for him in less than 10 minutes. The doctor said that he had so much infection in his ear that he had to put in larger tubes than he originally planned so the infection could drain out. This was shocking to me because we have been on meds since Jan...one after another...and the last one we were one was very strong. So, I couldn't believe the infection was still that bad. I hope you enjoy the slide show below. Most of them are from his surgery and a few from church the day before.

On another note, Liam is talking and talking and talking. It is amazing how much he can say. He is repeating everything we tell him to say. Sometimes it sound correct and others you wouldn't know what he is saying. One funny thing I have realized is that all my years babysitting and being around children...it always seemed that the mothers could tell what their children say. Well now I know. I hear what he says and I know. Other people do not. Funny how that works.
Some things he is saying...
  • "Hotdog" (not in reference to the food...he says it like "Well Hot-dog!". I hope that make sense.
  • "Shew-wee" (sp) when he has a dirty diapter.
  • Of course he can say "Elmo"
  • "Basketball, Go Cats"
  • "Its a mess" or "Messy"
  • He can count to 10 with help and sing his abc's (but I think I mentioned that already?)
  • His favorite book right now is the children's book "Bad Dog, Marley!"
