Busy Little Guy!!!

WOW! I will start by apologizing for not being able to post in a few weeks. Things have been crazy! Where to start! Liam is almost 4 months old! Hard to believe 4 months have already gone by! One thing is for sure, they grow fast! Liam is learning so much every day. He now has the urge to try to pull himself up when lying down. He has a ways to go, but he is trying. He is drinking 5 oz now and has gone up a size in diapers!

It is great watching his cousins play with him. It is amazing how children can make an infant laugh!

We had Liam’s 4 month appointment yesterday. He weighs 14, almost 15 pounds! We have started him on cereal and he is starting to play with new toys. It is too much fun!

Liam loves for us to read to him! Once at daycare they were reading him a book and had to stop when a parent came in to pick up their child. Liam started screaming at her to finish! Haha. We are so excited that he loves books already! Don’t tell, but he is getting my favorite Children’s book for Christmas! It is all about Sushi! It was one of my favorite books to read to Shel, the little boy I babysat all through college.

Recently, Liam had his first air plane flight! We all went to visit our good friends Justin and Grace up in New Haven, CT. Brock had a conference in Hartford, CT. He flew up on a Tuesday. Liam and I followed on Thursday and we spent the weekend as the first non-family guests in the Dixon house!

Their dog Max was not very happy to have Liam there. It stressed him out the entire time! We couldn’t figure out if Max wanted to eat Liam or just protect him. We settled on that he was just protecting him! In this one picture you can’t even see Liam between Grace and Justin because of Max…haha! I am sure that he was glad to see us leave so he could get some sleep! On the other hand Grace and I were not as happy that our visit came to an end! I feel blessed that we got to go, we miss them terribly.

For Thanksgiving we traveled to Murray, KY to visit with Brock’s family. He has an Aunt and uncle that live in Murray and hosted the entire family this year. We had a great time and enjoyed some wonderful food and fellowship with our family. We also had a shower for Courtney and John Eric who are expecting their first child in January. They are keeping his name a secret for now and call him “Freedom”! Liam can’t wait to meet little “Freedom”! We wish them the best in the coming weeks as they prepare for his arrival!

While in Murray we had the opportunity to visit with a few of my friends. Jamie V. and I have been friends since high school. We were state officers together in FBLA! Jamie and Steve have a one year old son, Ty! He was adorable and is getting so big!

I was also fortunate to see my friend Casey Fisher. Casey and I met working at Webb, Hoskins, Glover, and Thompson law firm during college. We were both runners. Anyway, Casey now lives in Nashville, but her parents live in Murray. We were very excited that we had the opportunity to see her and meet Liam for the first time.

We ended the weekend back in Glasgow, KY, Brock’s hometown. We were able to visit with our friends John and Resa Gardner and their daughter Emory Kate. Emory was very cute with Liam. She kept covering him up with his burp cloth, rubbing his head, and kissing him. We had a great visit!

Sunday we went to church and Liam made it through the services without having to be taken out! Then we went to lunch with Brock’s Grandmother and Granddaddy for Grandmother’s birthday. That’s when we realized that Grandmother shares a birthday with my brother Lincoln and sister Lacy. Happy Belated Birthday you all and Happy Holidays to everyone!
