OH BABY...do we have news and a massive 10 month update!

It has been a busy 10 months in the Marrs household. First and foremost, we need to announce that Liam is going to be a big brother. (Thursday, in fact...we're a little behind)
We are expecting a baby girl and are very excited and sorry that we are just now getting the news posted on here. Ravin goes in for a C-section on Thursday, so check back for updates.

The last 10 months has been very busy for us. Work for both of us is going great and keeping us super, super busy! Any of our free time has been spent enjoying our rambunctious 2 year old! Liam is so much fun right now.

In September we took a family vacation through Virginia. We visited Brock's alma mater, Washington & Lee University, in Lexington, VA. Liam struck a pose on the colonnade in hopes of catching the eyes of some wandering co-eds.

After our brief visit to the hallowed grounds of W&L we traveled east to shores of Virginia Beach. There, Liam sported the latest in Euro-beach wear. He befriended a Yorkshire terrier, continued to work on his look, and played in the waves. He was excited to play in the "Big Sandbox" as he put it when he first laid eyes on the beach.

Wearing daddy's shoes.
During our Virginia vacation, we attended the wedding of good friend, Collins, in Norfolk. The wedding was nice (according to Ravin; Liam and I were kickin' it on the playground). The reception was in a beautiful location and Liam provided the entertainment for the first couple of hours.

Later that month, after begging and pleading (lol), Uncle Jason took Liam to "hunt" for deer. This picture was taken of the two in the blind shortly after Liam shushed Aunt Kelly. Doesn't she know there's no talking in the blind?

Got a pop-gun at the Kentucky Wool Festival!
We celebrated another (somewhat) successful football season. Tailgates were had, hot dogs were eaten, and faces were painted. Liam thoroughly enjoyed the Gray tailgate this year. There was even some one-on-one football with Dad.

Halloween 2010 was the Halloween of the Vampire Kangaroo. Liam went as his favorite Little Einsteins character, Joey the Kangaroo.
Liam and Dad at the corn maze at Kelley Farms. Corn maze, hay ride, haystack pyramid, and rotten pumpkins...hooray!

Thanksgiving 2010 at Aunt Doris and Uncle Bob's house with cousins Andrew, Mary Keene, Connor, and Evan (not pictured due to small size and fussiness).

This was Liam's last day in Jr. Tots class at daycare. Here is is with Ms. Lisa and Ms Sue. He is currently in Busy Bees!

We rang the bells again this year on behalf of the Salvation Army. It was another great success and we had a good turn-out. Next year, we're going to shoot for a whole day of bell ringing. (For those of you that ring bells, the kids are the secret weapon...people cannot and will not refuse a toddler in a Santa hat)

This year Ravin decided to decorate cookies with Liam. She was very glad that she bought the pre-made cookie dough at GFS because after the first 12 Liam was no longer interested and she had to finish the rest...all 58 of them!

Liam and his cousins. Danielle, Josie, and Hannah.

Liam with his other cousins Mary Keene, Andrew, and friend Wakefield.

The only thing Liam asked Santa for was a UK Football helmet!
Chef Liam at his Christmas kitchen. Making egg juice...his specialty.
Workin' Man...as soon as Liam unwrap these new John Deere work gloves, he promptly began to pick up all the trash in the room. He was an official workin' man.

Liam at friend Conner's birthday party which wash held at the Lexington Fire Station.
Dad and Liam giving the downstairs bathroom a makeover.

"Spring is finally here!"
Dad trying to level the ground for the new brick patio and Liam trying to pick up all the string that Dad used to mark the plot.

Liam and his friend Abi at Abi's birthday party. Abi is not a fan of the camera.
Insert Miles Davis reference here.
Easter at Spindletop Hall was interesting. We were late in getting our reservation, so we ended up eating during Liam's normal naptime. Needless to say, sleepy Liam's shouting of unsavory words ended with a prompt exit out of the dining room.

Liam "cutting" the bricks for use in the new patio.

Derby Day at 5C's. Liam's class celebrated the time-honored tradition of creating horses in class during the lead-up to the Derby. He chose the number 24, painted his horse yellow, and named him Barack Obama. Mom attended the event as the "photographer." Unfortunately, her presence cost Liam the roses as he chose her over the finish line after he made the turn for home.
The Run for the Roses, Colony Blvd style...The kids that came over for derby this year created their own custom silks. As you can see below, Liam was really into the jockey gear.

In preparation for arrival of his little sister, Liam attended Big Brother Class at the hospital. He got to practice putting a diaper on Cookie Monster and proudly introduced Cookie Monster to Barnes when we got home as their new little brother.

He made a special gift to give Evelyn Grace.

Liam in his Marine Kid t-shirt that my family picked up at my brother's graduation from Marine Bootcamp a week ago.

Here is Ravin's brother, Lincoln, in his uniform. We wrote Lincoln letters while he was in bootcamp and once on the way to the post office Liam said, "We have to mail Uncle Lincoln a letter because he is in the Tambourines!" Of course we corrected him, but it was really funny!

Liam brought his Euro-swimwear look to Lexington's Spindletop Hall this past weekend. Women did double-takes, girls fainted, and a new trend was started.

Look for more updates this week as our family grows again!
