Our power was restored on Friday afternoon and lasted through the weekend. Hooray! Unfortunately, this small disruption in our lives didn't allow us to keep everyone posted on new developments with Liam. Our damage was limited to a rather large limb from our oak tree safely falling into the yard (I used it as an excuse to play with a chainsaw). We were lucky. A few houses in the neighborhood now have trees in their attics and upstairs bedrooms.

He is really enjoying jumping and kicking (which kind of seems like an overnight development). He loves playing in the "jumparoo" (as seen above) and his bouncy seat that hangs from the doorframe. I believe if we let him, he would be content to bounce all day long. Given this newfound athletic prowess, we are going to start getting Liam into the weight room more frequently. With his good looks, a little athletic skill could probably land him some endorsement deals with Baby Einstein or Fisher Price.

Liam had his first taste of food (sweet potatoes to be exact). It took a little warming up, but in true Marrs fashion, he downed the whole jar! He seems to digest the sweet potatoes slowly and saves all the big diapers for daycare and Ravin...that a boy! Liam loves to eat and it shows. He is developing rolls on his body that are an anatomical mystery. They are helping him to sit up, though, which he is doing on his own now. Pretty soon we expect him to start pulling up on things and standing. After that, its on to wave theory and quantum mechanics!
Liam received his first postcard in the mail from M and Doc. They recently travelled to New Orleans to escape the hustle and bustle of Glasgow and to celebrate Doc's birthday. To Liam's disappointment, the postcard did not taste like crawfish etouffe when he shoved it into his mouth.
